Vectric Aspire training
Learn to design 3D reliefs and cut them accurately. You'll go from clean 2D vectors to finished 3D models and toolpaths in Vectric Aspire, then bring it together in one complete design-to-machining project.
What you'll be able to do
- Draw and edit precise vectors, ready for modeling or cutting
- Build 3D components and combine them into a finished relief
- Set up material and tools, then calculate 2D and 3D toolpaths
- Preview the result and save toolpaths for your machine's post-processor
Syllabus
- 01
From 2D vectors to 3D components
Drawing and node editing, importing artwork, and turning closed vectors into 3D shapes with Aspire's modeling tools.
- 02
Combining and refining relief models
Working in the component tree: add, subtract and merge shapes, sculpt and smooth details, and control heights so the relief carves well.
- 03
Toolpaths, previews, and material setup
Job and material setup, zero points and tool choice, 3D roughing and finishing, V-carve and profile toolpaths, and checking the simulation before you cut.
- 04
A complete design-to-machining project
One decorative piece taken from sketch to saved toolpaths, so you practice the whole workflow end to end.

What you'll need
- A Windows computer that meets Vectric's requirements for Aspire
- Your own Aspire license or Vectric's trial version. Software licenses are not included
- A stable internet connection if you learn online

No. We start with vectors and the Aspire interface. If you already use VCarve, much of the 2D work will feel familiar and you can move through it faster.
Can I use Aspire on a Mac?
Aspire is Windows software. Mac users usually run it in a Windows virtual machine. Check Vectric's guidance and confirm your setup with us before you enroll.
Is the Aspire license included?
No. You'll need your own license or Vectric's trial version. We'll confirm the version you're using before the course starts.
How long is the course, and what does it cost?
Duration, schedule and fees are confirmed when you inquire, based on your experience and whether you learn online or in person. Your place is confirmed directly with us once you agree on the schedule and terms.
